Heavy Equipment Operator - St. John's, Canada - James R Eales Equipment Rentals Limited

Description

• Inspects equipment to ensure it is in safe operable condition and any servicing has been completed
• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
• Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept cleaned, and stored in a safe manner
• Properly reports any mechanical or safety problems with the equipment in accordance with company procedures
• Proactively communicate with supervisor and coworkers
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required
• Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid licence (Class 5 and 8 requirement, Class 3 an asset) and clean driver's abstract.
• Must have a working cell phone 24/
• Must have reliable vehicle readily available to commute from home to work
• Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays to meet our client expectations.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including, but not limited to snow, slush, ice, freezing rain, hail, and subzero temperatures.
• 3 years of heavy equipment experience

• French not required

• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed
