DESCRIPTION
Michels Canada is looking for a Proposal Specialist tto join our growing Infrastructure Group You will collaborate with multidisciplinary groups to facilitate the proposal process from coordination, development, review and submissions of qualification and proposal materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
- Monitor potential bid opportunities through bid sites and other medium for distribution to the appropriate teams or managers.
- Maintain a high standard of document control including downloading proposal files, creating project files and ensuring files are maintained with all relevant documents throughout the RFP process.
- Coordinate and participate in the development and preparation of proposals, expressions of interest, prequalifications, clarifications, and other proposal documentation for various opportunities in collaboration with multidisciplinary technical groups, such as estimators, technical writers, contracts administrators, project managers and external business partners.
- Maintain reference libraries, resumes, project profiles, and any other relevant documents.
- Provide a high level of customer service while acting as the single point of contact for the client to address any questions or concerns.
- Other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or postsecondary diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
- 35 years of related experience with proposals and the RFP process.
- Demonstrates strong communication abilities, through written language and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines and short timeframes
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably in power, pipe services, trenchless crossings, and/or tunnel construction is an asset
- Graphic design and marketing experience is an asset
- 35 years of related experience with proposals and the RFP process.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or postsecondary diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
LANGUAGES
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
