- Assist the Production Geology team with day-to-day ore control activities, including field layout and marking dig boundaries.
- Work closely with operations and survey teams to support material delineation and field-based geological tasks.
- Participate in shift based field communication to support smooth operational execution.
- Collect blast hole sample data, including bagging, labeling, and recording assay information.
- Gather verification samples to support QA/QC processes.
- Support test pit programs byassistingwith materialcharacterizationsampling and field documentation.
- Ensure all samples meet internal collection standards prior to laboratory submission.
- Prepare samples for onsite and offsite laboratory shipments, ensuring properchain of custodyand documentation.
- Track sample priorities and laboratory turnaround times, communicating updates to the geology team.
- Maintainaccurateinventory of sampling supplies and proactivelyassistwith restocking.
- Enter sample data into geological databases or tracking sheets as directed.
- Support data validation, record keeping, and preparation of information forreconciliationworkflows.

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geological Engineering, or a related field orpreviousexperience workingin an open pit mine and drilling equipment support ore control procedureis an asset.
- Previousfieldwork experience (exploration, mapping, sampling, or geology labs) is an asset but notrequired.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and basic GIS familiarity (ArcGIS/QGIS).
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather, terrain, andmineoperating conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment toaccuratedata collection.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Title: Mine Geology
Reporting to the Senior Production Geologist or designate, the Mine Geology Coop/Mine Geology Technician will support daily ore control activities, blast hole sampling, test pit programs, and laboratory coordination. This role provides practical experience in open pit production geology and offers exposure to ore control workflows, geological data collection, and sampling procedures critical to supporting mining operations.
The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the production geology, drilling, and operations teams, ensuring accurate and timely field data collection and sample management.

This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site on a 15 days on/13 days off rotation.
The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena's Travel Policy.
There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.
Depending on business needs and individual circumstances, this co-op will run from April/May-December for 8-month block.
Compensation
The expected hourly range for this position is CA$25-35 per hour, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
