Production Supervisor
A fabrication shop in the South Foothills Industrial area is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor. This person will be responsible for assisting the Shop Forman with the day-to-day operations of the production department/shop.
You must be confident and a motivating mentor for Shop Employees, yet able to deal with Employee issues that may arise.
Job Duties Include:
- Supervising Production: Managing and supervising a team of workers, ensuring that they adhere to safety protocols, follow standard operating procedures, and meet production goals.
- Planning and Scheduling: Developing production schedules, allocating resources, and organizing workflow to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Quality Control: Monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues related to product quality or defects.
- Training and Development: Providing training to new employees and ongoing coaching to the production team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement, while focusing on Safety.
- Inventory Management: Collaborating with the inventory or materials management team to ensure adequate stock levels, minimize wastage, and facilitate smooth production flow.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving productionrelated problems, such as equipment breakdowns, bottlenecks, or delays, to minimize disruptions and maintain production efficiency.
- Reporting and Documentation: Keeping accurate records of production output, efficiency metrics, inventory levels, and other relevant data, and preparing regular reports for management.
- Team Leadership: Motivating and leading the production team, fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, and promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications:

Journeyman Steam Fitter Ticket:
- Minimum of 5 years Management/Supervision experience in a Fabrication Shop environment
- 5 years of hands on experience in the layout, fitting, and welding of spools, vessels and module assembly.
- Must be able to read and interpret isometrics, blue prints and schematics.
- Experienced in QA/QC programs and procedures.
- Solid working knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
- Working knowledge of all tools and equipment i.e. overhead cranes, saws, iron workers, shears, breaks, welding equipment.
- Knowledge and the ability to enforce safety standards.
- The ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees: managers, field personnel, and direct reports.
Salary:
$75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
