What you'll do


As a Manager, Treasury Financing at Canadian Tire, you will have the opportunity to showcase your self-motivation, analytical skills, and project management abilities.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a Senior Treasury Analyst,
rating agencies, negotiating bank credit agreements, and supporting capital market transactions for Canadian Tire and Canadian Tire Real Estate Investment Trust (CT REIT).

Additionally, you will create Board presentations and provide analytical support to the Treasury leadership when required.

  • Manage all rating agency matters for Canadian Tire and CT REIT, including calculating credit metrics and facilitating annual meetings.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Canadian Tire and CT REIT's bank credit agreements, ensuring timely annual extensions and assisting in negotiating amendments as needed.
  • Oversee all capital market transactions for Canadian Tire and CT REIT to effectively support their financial objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with our bank partners, ensuring efficient management of Canadian Tire's "share of wallet" model.
  • Prepare informative Board decks as appropriate for effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to M&A due diligence analysis by providing valuable insights and support.
  • Lead Treasury initiatives as required, driving innovation and process improvements.
  • Manage and develop one direct report to promote professional growth.

What you bring

  • 57 years of Treasury/Corporate Finance experience at a publicly traded company.
  • A BA in Finance or Business. CFA, CPA, MBA preferred or in progress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
  • Selfmotivation, inquisitive mindset, and ability to work independently while achieving results.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with a problemsolving orientation.
