Position Summary:


The Crew Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible to oversee and maintain both daily and weekly operations which pertain to the Flight Crew member's schedules.

The Crew Scheduling Coordinator, in conjunction with Calm Air's SOCC team, will be responsible for making effective scheduling recovery plans, during irregular operations based off Flight Crew members schedules, collective agreements, Company policies and CAR's regulations.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Maintain all Flight Crew members schedules in VMO against daily operations
  • Provide clear, effective, and timely communication to all Flight Crew members as it relates to scheduling and/or rescheduling of recovery plans due to irregular operations (Deadhead travel, hotel bookings, Crew House bookings, car rental bookings) and company flight schedule changes including crew call offs/ins
  • Responsible for covering and maintaining all Flight Crew members
  • Notify the Crew Scheduling Supervisor of any Crew Member attendance issues
  • Responsible for the monitoring, investigating, and executing recovery plans of all Crew Members violation / regulation breaks
  • In conjunction with Flight Ops Managers, maintain the Ground School matrix
  • Responsible for approving all Crew Members per diems and monthly expenses
  • Responsible for the approval of department purchase orders, incoming invoices, and credit card statement
  • Interpret and administer ALPA/CUPE collective agreements
  • Promote occupational health and safety within the department, and participate in the development and monitoring of safety training
  • Proactively communicate hazards and SMS initiatives with the department
  • Embark on employment equity initiatives
  • Engaging with all employees to promote employment equity and encouraging employees to undertake the selfdeclaration survey updating as necessary
  • All levels of the organization share responsibility for human rights within the organization
  • Overseeing and promoting continuous improvement on human rights and employment equity initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Postsecondary education in related field considered an asset
  • Computer skills (MS Office) with emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and written
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with VMO, Great Plains, and Amelia considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous aviation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including plain language with an ability to express ideas, concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences in a variety of channels
  • Obtain and maintain all required enhanced security clearances
  • Inuktitut language considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries

Salary:
$20.00-$21.00 per hour
