    Position: Payroll Coordinator I

    Duration: 12 Months CONTRACT

    Location: Waterloo, ON

    HYBRID – 3 days in office (Tues- Thurs).

    Pay Rate:

    $34.90/HR IC

    $29.00/HR T4

    Qualifications:


    • 1-3 years of full cycle Canadian payroll processing experience


    • Two-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


    • Strong sense of logic and an aptitude for mathematics


    • Working knowledge of payroll processing, tax principles, wage & hours legislation


    • Large selection of Canadian provinces a plus


    • PCP with NPI (National Payroll Institute) an asset


    • Experience with HR system like Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle


    • Experience with large third-party payroll providers like ADP, Ceridian, UKG


    • Experience with ADP GlobalView (as a processing services client) a plus


    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to focus in a busy environment


    • Good verbal & written communication skills


    • High attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and ability to handle multiple priorities


    • Ability to follow complex verbal & written direction and instructions (SOPs) without deviation


    • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines


    • Able and willing to participate in Teams, Zoom, Webex or other conference platforms on camera

    • Comfortable with frequent check-ins and review of work daily

    This is very much an admin role. Data entry, checking information, audit, etc. The bulk of it is data entry and auditing. Entry level role.

    End to end payroll for all of Canada.

    Experience in doing payroll in different provinces for Canada.

    Will train on internal payroll system (Global View) but would like candidates who have prior experience would be great, but not required.

    Basic payroll admin role. Checking errors that come through and resolve. Answering questions. Etc.

    Canadian Experience. Required.

    Background – Ok with smaller company experience but prefer someone with higher volume payroll or larger companies.

    Industry – No preferences on industry.

    Technology – MS office – (specifically Excel)

    Mix of automation and integrations, feeding into the payroll system. This person will need to troubleshoot errors with integration. Some things have to be processed manually—such as terminations, any adjustments that happen occasionally. The payroll pretty much runs-on its own unless certain scenarios happen, such as those mentioned.

    The high volume of things. Little down time.

    Head down, keyboard, processing role.
