Position Summary
Construction Planner/Scheduler with construction experience to join an international company delivering transit projects in Toronto ON.

Working with the Project Manager in a construction site role that provides support to operations staff and management in a dynamic and challenging work environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and to present information clearly
  • Possess strong communication skills & ability to coordinate with all project stakeholders (Site Supervision, Subcontractors, Client & Project Management team). Confident interacting verbally, written and electronic form
  • Identify the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule, and work with Planning Manager to identify potential delays
  • Maintain project schedule and prepare/submit project deliverables. Including project specific schedules, earned value management reports (S-Curve, SPI, and CPI) and other project documentation
  • Assist Project Management team with change management
  • Ability to work in a team environment, multitask, setting priorities to meet deadlines and project milestones
  • Organize project closeout by preparing warranty package and requirements; collecting warranties and O&M manuals; creating turnover documents and assisting in demobilizing the site and archiving documentation
  • Willingness to contribute actively in team activities, sharing experiences and ideas

Work Conditions

  • Position: Site based

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management
  • 2+ years experience using Primavera P 3+ years' experience in Civil Construction Preferred (Rail projects preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer background including Microsoft Office package (Excel)
  • English speaking (Spanish is a plus)
