Your role will involve:


  • Planning, executing, monitoring and completing the project in a business environment.
  • Creating and maintaining a detailed project schedule and integrated plan for implementation.
  • Developing regular project status reports, communicating project status and progress to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Coordinating all activities on assigned projects while collaborating with other personnel business partners and external vendors.
  • Planning and participating in preimplementation software testing.
  • Coordinating installation with user departments and IT and track analyse and keep management abreast of project process.
  • Creating user manuals and preparing job aids for all impacted departments and coordinate training for all impacted staff prior to software implementation.
  • Proactively identifying and managing project risks, issues and recommending mitigation strategies in collaboration with the vendor for decision making.
  • Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Evaluating project outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Health Informatics, Business or Computer Sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, clinical system, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing complex IT projects and programs from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience working with crossfunctional teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.

  • Experience with project management tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Experience in liaising with customers/stakeholders where customer service was a key focus to responding to queries, issues/risk management, etc.
  • Ability to readily identify, assess and mitigate implementation and adoption issues.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle is required.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police check (completed within last 12 months).
  • Knowledge of healthcare or nonprofit organizations is an asset.


This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and you must provide Lumacare with proof of vaccination prior to employment.


Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months
