Job Description:

Shift is 4 on / 3 off with 10 hour days

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressurereducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3way valves, condensate traps)
Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
Test system for leaks using testing equipment
Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred)
2+ years experience on long term maintenance at plant sites
Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation or CSTS09 certification is required.
H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certifications are considered an asset
Able to provide a negative result on a preemployment drug and alcohol test

Skills:

You're happy working as part of a team and comfortable working independently on various projects in the shop
Receptive to change can adapt to changing circumstances
Able to perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
Able to provide a negative preemployment drug and alcohol test
