Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to oversee material compliance, documentation, and quality assurance on active construction and specialty material installation projects. The ideal candidate will ensure strict adherence to manufacturer specifications, environmental controls, and project quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform daily site inspections and maintain detailed reports, logs, and photographic documentation.
· Prepare and submit weekly Quality Control reports (per floor).
· Maintain comprehensive electronic project documentation including reports, meeting minutes, material logs, and test records.
· Monitor controlled storage conditions, including temperature and humidity logs.
· Conduct batch material quality checks and coordinate laboratory testing.
· Maintain material inventory records with batch tracking and installation locations.
· Monitor mixing procedures, epoxy working time, pot life, and application limits.
· Oversee proper handling of carbon fiber strips and specialty materials.
· Identify, document, and report any defects or non-conformances immediately.
· Coordinate with material manufacturers and document site inspection visits.
· Ensure full compliance with manufacturer technical specifications and project standards.
Qualifications
· Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
· 2+ years of experience in construction quality control, materials testing, or site inspections
· Strong knowledge of construction materials, epoxy systems, and specialty reinforcement systems (asset)
· Excellent documentation and reporting skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work full-time on active construction sites

. Safety Certificates: WHMIS and Working at Heights (WAH) (required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
