The Arena Superintendent plans, coordinates, manages, controls and evaluates the operations of the arena, recreation facilities such as playground, community garden and cottage, outdoor facilities such as rink, beach, sports field, tennis court, and Skate Park as required.
They plan and manage the operating budget and administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services. They plan, coordinate and manage administrative services such as cleaning, maintenance, and safety and security inspections.They prepare or oversee the preparation of reports such as facility schedules, maintenance schedules, equipment logs, machinery and mechanical maintenance logs, staff and operations as required.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High School diploma with a Certificate in Facility Management, Resource Management or related field AND several years of experience in a related field
Ice Maintenance & Equipment Operator Certificate (Provincial Designation or Equivalent)
Ice Making Technology Certificate (Provincial Designation or Equivalent)
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
A valid driver's license (ON)
Experience
In resource administration
In operating an arena or similar facility
In ice maintenance requirements
In personnel administration
In budget administration
In the preparation, maintenance and operation of outdoor sports fields
Competencies, Skills and Abilities

This Category II unionized position is open to all interested parties.
Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the PSAC bargaining unit for NPF Category II employees at CFB Kingston.
