Position Title

  • Placement Coordinator, Career Education and Experience Development
    Position Summary
  • Are you passionate about helping students and playing a role in student success? We welcome you to join the Career Education & Experience Development team as our Placement Coordinator.
  • The Placement Coordinatorwill work with all aspects of placement for the assigned courses, programs and schools. You will collaborate with other areas where the role's expertise is required. This includes acquisition of student clinical and practicum placements, as well as maintaining communication and relationship with facility mangers and stakeholder placement management.
    Position Responsibilities
  • Collaborating and consulting with Faculty and Associate Deans to determine the educational requirements for practicum experiences for practicum courses and students; developing and revising of systems to accomplish the planning and communications
  • Evaluate new clinical/practicum sites for suitability and supports contract and documentation required for the acquisition of new clinical and placement sites, in collaboration with the CEED team
  • Promoting positive working relationships with practicum agencies, and all parties involved in the placement processes and cycles.
  • Coordinating communications and monitoring regarding student completion of Practicum Agency health and safety requirements
  • Provide leadership by disseminating information, providing feedback, advising, coaching, supporting institutional projects, and encouraging development for colleagues and staff related to workintegrated learning
  • Development of new processes that facilitate compliance with placement agency planning timelines
  • Provide reports and analysis annually and as needed by program leads, senior administration, and the Polytechnic

Required Qualifications

  • 23 years of relevant experience
  • Four (4) year undergraduate degree
  • Knowledge of the practicum placement process within the workintegrated learning framework
  • Broad familiarity with postsecondary programming
  • Experience in establishing effective process
  • High accountability practice and mindset for self and role
  • Digital Fluency including MS Office and webbased software
  • Strong Communication skills, written, and spoken, active listening, proactive problem solving and conflict resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Change management experience and competency
  • Systems thinker with high detail orientation; interdependent work habits, selfstarter, team oriented, learner centered

- $62,034 - $72,571 annually
