The Demand Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the forecast accuracy and ensuring packaging splits are optimized to limit stock outs in every SKU/market by analyzing inventory levels, production schedules and demand.

This position will be responsible for the demand review process by working cross functionally to develop and communicate the most accurate sales forecast for the supply chain and production teams.

This individual has a strong ability to communicate clearly and able to handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This role will work closely with production, sales, innovation, and procurement to ensure all requirements are met and all projects are on time.


How you will make an impact:

  • Define and maintain the finished goods demand for each business unit
  • Work with the sales team to integrate:
  • customer information to sales forecasts on a monthly or as needed basis
- market and product risks and opportunities

  • Analyze sales statistics, feed a statistical database, contribute to the effectiveness of communication regarding adjustments to be planned and the dissemination of information;
  • Identify gaps between sales plan execution and forecasts while supporting continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Inform the sales team about product availability
  • Oversee demand planning/management processes for new/existing products that are produced both in house and at 3rd party contract facilities.
  • Create/carry out product demand plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Assist in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipating customer reactions to promotions and discounts.
  • Audit forecast performance vs actual demand vs production and report back on variances to the relevant departments
  • Adjust inventory target levels to reflect business seasonality
  • Track and maintain a database of missed sales to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Build forecasts and track demand for hops and provide monthly reports, and quarterly recommendations for hop contract modifications to procurement
  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for copacking customers; responsibilities include receiving purchase orders, scheduling production, and sharing PO details with the finance team.

  • 10% Production Planning

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / priorities and lead crossfunctional projects.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and work flexible schedule when required
  • Detail oriented with solid investigative skills.
  • Excellent data management and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • 3+ years of previous experience in Planning, Supply Chain Data Analysis, or comparable role
  • Knowledge of MPS/MRP, Demand Flow, JIT, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Supply Chain design
  • High level proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office
  • Skilled at creating presentations and leading meetings
  • Previous experience in the Brewery and/or CPG industry is an asset
