Rate of Pay:
$ $23.39 per hour

Qualifications:

Successfully completed chef training or culinary management diploma
Red Seal Cook preferred, but not mandatory
Minimum 3 years experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably in a health care setting
Must possess and maintain a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
Must be knowledgeable about Canada's Food Guide, therapeutic diets and HACCP
Previous experience with inventory and cost control in a food service operation
Good written & verbal communication/organizational skills
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment
Physically capable of safely lifting and transferring hot heavy objects (must be able to lift up to 15 kg) and standing for the majority of the shift
Must be able to work accurately, quickly and safely
Catering experience an asset
Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
