Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working in a small company with very experienced electricians. If you are ready to take your skills to the next level and do not feel your current position offers you that, please talk to us. We are a small residential electrical company that takes pride in quality work and excellent customer service. As an apprentice electrician you will assist in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in primarily residential settings both in new construction, renovations, and service calls. A strong willingness to learn and a positive demeanor will assist you as you learn more about the trade in this role. We can offer what some larger companies cannot- close supervision and coaching of new skills, understanding of code, tricks, and being efficient with your time.

Duties

  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, working in new construction, renovations. and service work.
  • Work with experienced electricians to learn about wiring, distribution, testing, code rules.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
  • Take direction from senior electricians and help other co-workers in a team environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in the electrical field.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an electrician is a strong asset.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Own hand tools, power drill, and impact driver.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both co-workers and customers.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Willingness to be a registered apprentice and continue regular schooling as required.
  • Experience with other aspects of construction or work in other trades.
  • Driver's license and own vehicle to commute to various job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
