1.0 FTE Continuing Position:
Counsellor, 6.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday, at the Saanich Adult Education Center (SAEC), beginning immediately.

Job Summary:

The SAEC is currently seeking a counselor to become an integral member of our school
- based team. This position is responsible for providing direct social-emotional counseling and consultation to students and families. School Counsellors provide a continuum of preventative, developmental, remedial and intervention services. School Counselling functions can include individual, group, and class work to provide both intervention and prevention support services. This role has responsibility for and supports promoting a healthy school environment.

Qualifications required:

Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology

Counselling experience at the Adult learning Level

Valid BC Drivers License

Outstanding Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Completion of Criminal Record Check (to be done upon hiring)

Preference will be given to Registered Clinical Counselor Certification

Salary:
Based on the W_SÁNEC School Board's salary scale
