About Us:
Health OPM stands for Our People Matter and was founded to address the workforce gaps in the healthcare sector.
We work with clients in all healthcare sectors including long term care, retirement communities, hospitals, health centres and community clinics anywhere in southern Ontario that care is needed.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
Ability to work with individuals and families.
Demonstrated ability to interact positively with residents, families and co-workers.
Must have a positive attitude and be committed to fostering a healthy team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Good organizational and time management skills.
Gather information and prepare reports.
Ability to work under pressure. Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate.
Support care experience in a seniors home, long-term care, and/or hospital is an asset.
Availability to work shifts:
days/evenings/nights and weekends as required.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal/communication & organizational skills Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
Proof of current immunizations for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV).
Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or a negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years.
Recent Police Background Check.Updated First Aid CPR.
Membership into the Ontario Personal Support Workers Association an asset.
