IN A SNAPSHOT
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Merchandiser will be able to travel throughout predesignated regions within Ontario.

This individual will be responsible to achieve pre-established objectives, and targets as ait related to distribution gains and sales targets.

WHERE YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME

• Planning and developing merchandising strategies.
• Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs.
• Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets.
• Ensure proper level of stock is maintained at all times.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately and strategically with proper signage and shelf placement according to store and company objectives.
• Install pointofsale (POS) material to support promotions or product launches.
• Build and maintain product displays in compliance with company guidelines.
• Assist in developing product placement plans to aid customers in locating required products.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Maintain all merchandising standards while rotating products as required.
• Track store level inventory through product counts and other related functions.
• Assemble fixtures as required.
• Complete all assigned merchandising functions accurately and within set timeframe.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Price merchandise, and stock shelves and displays according to shelf plans.
• Remain current with industry's best practices.
• Improve visibility, space and accessibility of company products.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers as required.
• Install and maintain seasonal and promotional displays.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Post-Secondary Education; University Degree or College Diploma, preferably in Business or related field.
• 23 years experience in a sales focused role with a strong knowledge of customer service and merchandizing in a retail environment preferably in the Food Industry.
• Experience with Retail Chains and Independents.
• Must have own vehicle.
• Superior skill in building and maintaining solid relationships with Customers, Distributors, and Employees. Ability to liaise with diverse range of Customers in a positive, professional and diplomatic manner.
• Selfmotivated with a good understanding of sales development strategies and techniques.
• Ability to thrive on challenges, an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Sales and Goal oriented; persuasive and pleasant personality with professional demeanour.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas.
• Positive attitude and dependable with strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and in a teamoriented atmosphere.
• Open minded, eager and willing to constantly learn and improve oneself.

Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 5 months
