The General Warehouse Worker position is responsible for supporting the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.

The Warehouse Worker must pick customer orders, load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.g., lift truck, forklift, etc.

Other responsibilities may include the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality.


Responsibilities:


  • Pick customer orders in an efficient manner with attention to detail
  • Package customer orders safely and securely to prevent damage
  • Stage orders properly for loading into delivery vehicles
  • Inspect products to ensure quality
  • Ensure all sales orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner
  • Ensure that orders contain proper paperwork
  • Report any discrepancies to immediate supervisor
  • Operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner to move products
  • Problem solve for any orders missing products
  • Support inventory management processes
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Adhere to all Centura company policies and procedures
  • Represent and promote Centura in a competent and professional manner

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Frequent lifting from 549 lbs unassisted
  • Occasional lifting from 50+ lbs assisted
  • Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
  • Exposure to changing temperatures

Salary:
From $18.00 per hour
