Responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of all systems and equipment
within the hotel. The Building Maintenance Operator will carry out troubleshooting and
minor repairs of the hotel's mechanical and electrical systems, primarily in guest and
public areas as required to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and carrying out minor repairs to all equipment,
lines and heating water systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and the
HVAC systems
- Shall respond to guest requests from Royal Service to carry out repairs and
bathtubs & sinks, a/c units, TV, remote controls, windows, furniture, switches,
receptacles, light bulbs etc.
- Responsible for maintaining all work areas, mechanical and electrical rooms in a
- Responsible for coordinating with others to maintain an adequate stock of supplies
- Shall work in compliance with codes and Ontario's Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- To attend training courses, workshops, seminars, or schooling to ensure that you are
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Will work weekends, holidays, and shift work as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Excellent guest service and be able to communicate in the English language
- Five (5) years of experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of the HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems within the hotel
- Ability to work shifts
- Ability to carry out troubleshooting and minor repairs of hotel systems
- Knowledge of WHMIS & OHSA
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
