Description

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE-related regulations.
• Being up to date with regulations and industry practices.
• Providing the necessary training and guidance to ensure the Health and Safety system is understood and followed by all members.
• Responsible for performing daily audits for identifying and controlling any hazards.
• Investigate all incidents and perform the necessary steps to avoid further occurrences in the future.
• Ensure all workplace injuries are reported within the required timeframes.
• Complete incident reports as needed.
• Organize workshops, training seminars, and presentations to educate employees on health & safety issues and promote a safe working environment.
• Travel and visit sites as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or equivalent.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in a HSE role preferably in a managerial position.
• Experience in Civil construction preferred.
• Experienced with WSIB reporting and IHSA COR requirements.
• NCSO certification is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• French would be an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Position requires traveling to multiple locations, valid driver's license required.
