Description
We are a trucking company based out of west Edmonton. We provide a safe and efficient way to transport various products for other companies mainly working in the oilfield industry. Most of our work currently is heavy haul and matting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize cost, service, and quality
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth transportation processes
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Manage and maintain relationships with carriers and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and service levels
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support supply chain initiatives and improve overall operational efficiency
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other software tools to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize transportation routes
- Develop and manage transportation budgets Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of AS400 or similar transportation management systems
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations
- Solid understanding of freight forwarding, warehouse distribution, and materials management
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
$35.71-$46.18 per hour
