SPR Traffic Services LP ("SPR") has an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join our growing team. SPR strives to maintain the highest standard in safety; ensuring our employees, customers, and the public return home safely each day. SPR joined the Mainroad Group of companies in 2008, which allowed SPR to develop into the traffic management provider that it is today, specializing in infrastructure maintenance, vegetation control and traffic management.

This is a full-time, salaried position with an opportunity for career growth and is based out of our office in Parksville, BC.

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Completion of postsecondary diploma, or degree in business administration, or a related field is an asset
  • Prior experience in traffic control, construction, transportation, ecomm or a related field is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in computer systems & software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Team
  • Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge is an asset
  • Learning agility and willing to continually learn and develop
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work both independently with little or no supervision and as a team player
  • Demonstrates a conscientious mindset
  • Committed to doing the best job possible within a given deadline.
  • Recognized for positive outlook and enthusiastic attitude
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develops/grows the area's team of TCP's and Labourers to meet the group's internal needs and beyond
  • Communicates with customers
  • Oversees Field Supervisors and crews
  • Conducts quality assurance inspections
  • Provides job quotes to potential clients
  • Answers questions and assists with employee inquiries
  • Answers inquiries from the general public and clients in a courteous and knowledgeable manner
  • Conducts site audits verifying performance delivery
