Job Description:


AECOM Buildings + Places
is seeking a
Manager of Architecture Technology. This position will be based out of our Kitchener office.


Job Summary:


The Technical Manager will be responsible for Supporting delivery teams in ensuring that projects run smoothly, and project information models are delivered on time.

Working under the limited general supervision of project leaders, you will perform advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, digital tools and hardware with responsibilities including:


  • Strong software background in: Revit, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, BIM 360, Navisworks, Dynamo, Rushforth
  • Visual rendering output using Infraworks, Enscape or other tools
  • Generation and implementation of Revit models at all phases of the projects, using both company or client standards and developing new templates when required
  • Daytoday management of the digital models
  • Exchanging project data with multiple consultants through local and virtual servers
  • Generating 3D federated models for clash detection, generating reports to demonstrate coordination progress and clash mitigation
  • Understanding and proactively implementing the required LOD, and CoBie/CMMS data at each of the project stages, as per projectspecific requirements
  • Developing periodic training sessions for the design team and other stakeholders
  • Creating, enforcing, updating, and implementing projectspecific and practicewide BIM standards and execution manuals, including both internal and external management of design teams
  • Work closely with the design team reporting requirements and agreements from BIM Coordination meetings
  • Revit rfa family parametric modeling
  • CADD project coordination and verification reviews
  • Mentoring other CAD production staff
  • Training and supervising workflow and seminars
  • Updating internal protocols within the organization
  • Generating an understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams
  • Strong understanding of wastewater equipment
  • Proficient with architectural and structural modeling and design

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and 6 (six)+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Industrial and Mechanical piping design experience
  • Strong experience with Revit, Plant 3D, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on fabrication
  • Leadership skills, strong written and verbal communication; ability to function as a production designer
Additional Information

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

  • Offered rate of compensation in Kitchener will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000 $100,000 per annum.
