Description
We require an experienced individual to motivate 30-40 unionized production employees per crew to start immediately.As the Production Supervisor your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, the following:
- Supervision and organization of a unionized workforce of around 40 employees
- Ensure workers are organized for maximum output with mínimal wasted effort.
- Ensure safe and effective operation of equipment by the operators
- Identify training requirements and direct training.
- Monitor attendance, call replacements and arrange overtime as required
- Conduct regular crew meetings
- Follow production schedule as outlined or adjust as needed
- Continuously look for areas of improvement in all areas of the Company
- Communicate Company policies and philosophies to workers keeping them informed on matters that concern them and assist in solving work related problems.
- Conduct Accident Investigations as required
- Ensure safe working conditions, employees are trained in safety procedures and encourage positive attitudes toward Safety
- Ensure that production reports and quality check sheets are completed as required
- Complete employee time sheets (electronically and paper) and submit to payroll
- Medical exams, criminal record check and credit check may be required
