About the position:
As a Networking IT Associate, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure.
Your role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and optimization of network systems to ensure maximum performance, availability, and security.
You will work closely with company staff and the CEO to troubleshoot issues, deploy upgrades, and enhance network capabilities.Primary Duties & Responsibilites:
- Provide daytoday operational support for network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Respond promptly to networkrelated issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Ensure that network devices are properly set up and optimized to meet organizational requirements.
- Monitor network performance and utilization.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to endusers regarding network connectivity, access issues, and related concerns.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CISSP) are a plus.
