Summary:
This position is responsible for providing training expertise and organizational development support to the Ontario Division, including content development, program delivery, program coordination, and evaluation.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Design and create elearning and inperson training to meet the needs of the business.
- Deliver training sessions to targeted groups while ensuring learning outcomes are achieved
- Support planning and coordination of individual and multisession training initiatives including event coordination, enrollment and onsite execution.
- Participate in the design and implementation of methods to measure program effectiveness and provide summary data
- Ensure training content, environment and resources are optimized while embedding best practices such as adult training principles, preferred communication mediums, current trends, etc.
- Develop proactive strategies to adapt to learner challenges
- Monitor the quality of the training experience to ensure the company's standards are maintained while maximizing efficiency and trainee motivation
- Develop process and tools for staffing and training activities related to new store openings, major remodels and the Assistant Manager Training program
- Collaborate with Senior Manager of Training and Organizational Development and team on multiple\initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or College diploma with a specialty in education. Masters degree an asset.
- 3 years relevant experience including both inperson training, elearning, remote/virtual session delivery, and facilitation
- Requires very strong attention to detail in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent ability to partner with colleague and function as part of a small team delivering on high volumes.
- Continuous learner with open orientation and comfortable ability to learn from immediate team and others in the business.
- Superior teaching, facilitation, and presentation skills, as well as a highly developed sense of accountability and client orientation.
- Some travel required
- Retail experience is an asset
