Position:
Youth Summer Program Assistant (3 positions)

Contract Length: 10 Weeks (June 26th

Supervisor:
Summer Camp Program Coordinator

Hours: 35-40/hr a week Monday - Friday. Weeknights and weekends as needed.

What you'll do:

Responsible for the implementation of summer camp programs at ARC.
Responsible for providing support to the coordinator and assist in supervising, teaching and leading the youth attending the summer programming
Assist in creating a welcoming, safe program environment for all participants.
Facilitate programs such as rock climbing, cooperative games, nature hikes, outdoor living skills, orienteering, and arts and crafts
Ensure all program policies and procedures are implemented and carried out in day to day operations
Professionally communicate directly with clients, both the children attending the Summer Camps and their parents on a daily basis.
Provide site support through general maintenance, program set up, and supervision of activities.

Qualifications:

Experience working directly with children
Welldeveloped interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
Excellent written communication skills
Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding to sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and nonvisible dimensions of diversity
Time management skills must be able to plan, organize and prioritize
Computer skills using Microsoft Office and CRM software
Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C
