Position Summary

What you'll do at OCP

  • Review assessments completed by preceptors/assessors to ensure documentation demonstrates progress
  • Support partners with management of OCP administered entry to practice assessments
  • Verify and decide whether practice assessment registration requirement has been successfully completed
  • Update entry to practice assessment model materials to ensure that they reflect current practice, assessment processes, communication, and technology
  • Research and develop materials for Registration Committee meetings
  • Research, prepare and deliver registrationrelated presentations to applicants and stakeholders.
  • Review materials for registration panels, and attend monthly panel meetings as a College resource, as assigned. Investigate options for panel resources
  • Assume responsibility for projects as required or assigned
  • Draft and update registration related website content
  • Continually examine work process and explore opportunities for improving efficiencies through technology, elimination or altering of work processes and make recommendations to the PACE/SPT Lead. Work within records management principles and guidelines for record keeping

  • Proven knowledge of best practices in professional regulation
  • Diplomacy and tact when dealing with individuals on behalf of the College; proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to leverage technological tools to enhance process efficiency
  • High degree of sensitivity, discretion and confidentiality
  • High degree of emotional intelligence
  • Selfmotivation and solid organizational skills to efficiently and effectively manage workload, deal effectively with multiple demands and maintain composure while progressing toward desired outcomes
  • Ability to multitask
  • Some experience in event planning and project management
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative; continuous quality improvement
  • Progressive, forward thinking, flexible and adaptable

What experience we prefer

  • Active Part A or B Pharmacist registration in Ontario plus member in good standing with the College
  • Minimum 3 years practice experience in a patient care practice setting
  • Must have 2 years of related experience in a nonpatient care practice setting (e.g., pharmacy education, pharmacy operations)
