Reports to: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Shift: Days: 7am-7pm (days) (see below for schedule)
- Week 1: 2 days on (Mon & Tues), 2 off (Wed & Thurs), 3 days on (Fri-Sun)
- Week 2: 2 days off (Mon & Tues), 2 days on (Wed & Thurs), 3 days off (Fri-Sun)
- ** Weekend Shift Premium** of $2.00 per hour.
- **Night Shift Premium** of $4.00 per hour.

Role Summary
· To ensure adherence to quality specifications in all departments
· To lead or assist investigations into out of specification conditions.
· To ensure product meets all regulatory requirements.
· To act a technical resource for operators and supervisors in all departments
Accountabilities:
· Responsible for accurate analysis, documentation and reporting of specified analytical parameters for products at a variety of points during the process, according to standard sampling programs.
· Set up and conduct chemical tests and analyses using Beer-Alcolyzer, Spectrophotometer, RapidT, Titration, and chemical separation techniques through Distillation and High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
· Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus and prepare standard reagents for calibration of equipment.
· Responsible for compiling analytical reports and process/equipment trends.
· Interprets analytical results to provide direction on product release and process changes.
· Responsible for auditing packaging lines to ensure compliance to internal specifications.
· Responsible for identification of non-standard elements of risk and reporting situations to appropriate supervisory staff in affected department and to Quality Assurance Manager.
· Leads/assists in quality troubleshooting activities within the production line/process.
· Responsible for identification of non-conforming products, placing production on quality hold, as per procedure and investigation of incidents.
· Responsible for the completion of audits of the GMP, quality procedures, food safety procedures and standard operating procedures
· Ensure all raw materials are of standard quality to ensure safety, quality, and consistency of the product.
· Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
· Maintain Good Housekeeping Practices in designated work areas
· Maintain accurate and legible documentation.
· Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervision or management, that may be required to ensure the continues success of the company.
Education & Qualifications:
· Post-Secondary Education in Science related field or Quality Control/Assurance an asset
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality of work.
· Strong interest in Quality Assurance field
· Sound Laboratory techniques.
· Must be computer literate.
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
· High regard for Health & Safety requirements
