We are looking for a self-motivated individual that is looking for a fulfilling career opportunity in the home medical equipment industry as a
Mobility Technician at our high-volume
Edmonton location.

The Mobility Technician is responsible for the efficient maintenance, repair and set up for all mobility equipment.


This individual should be comfortable dealing with vulnerable people that have various special needs and be empathetic to their circumstances.

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 70 lbs.
  • Clean Driver's abstract and valid driver's license
  • Background check may be required.

Responsibilities:


  • Repair and maintenance of all manual/power related mobility equipment ensuring that manufacturers' guidelines and specifications are adhered to and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Equipment includes power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, battery operated patient handling lifts, power recliner lift chairs, and more
  • Troubleshooting problems clients are having with their equipment
  • Maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic devices specific to the equipment
  • Set up of new product for Product Consultants, customers
  • Inspect and test rental and loaner equipment prior to use by customers
  • Contact manufacturers for assistance with repair guidance
  • Quality control checks done on all repairs

Valued/Favoured Assets:


  • Experience with any Mobility Equipment considered valuable
  • Knowledge of Provincial and Federal Third-Party Funding Agencies an asset
  • Product knowledge favoured
  • Knowledge of fasteners, metric and standard thread
  • Electronics & mechanical background

Schedule and Compensation:


  • Monday through Friday
  • Salary will commensurate on level of experience in the home medical equipment industry as a Technician

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$20.00-$27.00 per hour
