Description

Education: Minimum requirement: No specific requirements, completion of Junior High School is preferred, but not mandatory.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of sewing experience specializing in outwear down jackets,

Single Needle Operator specializing in setting linings, making pockets, and sewing zippers

Ability to repair or sew sample jackets would be a bonus.

Ability and experience working in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail

Hand-eye co-ordination

Location of work: Scarborough, Ontario

Payment and Hours: 17.50/ hour, 40 hours/week

Job duties:

Assemble pieces of garments by matching patterns.

Operate single-needle sewing machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products, specializing in setting linings, making pockets, and sewing zippers.

Clean up and maintain the area around own workstation.

Ensure individual productivity quotas are met or exceeded on a daily basis.
