    The RAMPP group within QTS is looking for a senior developer to work on renovating and expanding its point in time data store. The RAMPP group provides risk, pricing and trade processing solutions to our Capital Markets business, and the data store platform is a core part of many of our systems. In this role you will be collaborating on projects with RAMPP teams, helping to develop and implement real use cases. This role provides an opportunity for a senior developer to get involved with the redesign of the data store, making use of modern application design and deployment technques to provide a modern and extensible data store. What will you do?
  • Contribute to development of bi-temporal data store to support the RAMPP use cases.
  • Understand business requirements and how to map them onto bi-temporal data model.
  • Establish working relationships with development teams across RAMPP to understand their requirements.
  • Scale design across different platforms, including different cloud providers.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve testing, DevOps and code quality metrics.
  • What do you need to succeed? Must have:
  • 7+ years of professional experience with Java in a developer role. This is a hands-on development role.
  • Experience with databases, such as PostgreSQL, including designing for performance, partitioning databases for scalability and query optimisation
  • Experience using DevOps concepts and tooling to deliver applications.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of related technologies such as Helm.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as: Distributed caches like Hazelcast, GridGain Observability, in particular OpenTelemetry
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities, as well as an ability to work closely with others.
  • Nice-to-have :
  • Knowledge of functional programing techniques and languages
  • Hands-on development experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
