Your Opportunity:


This dietitian position reports to Nutrition Services and works within the Rocky Mountain House Primary Care Network (PCN) to provide outpatient nutrition services.

The dietitian works collaboratively to provide support to clients who are managing chronic condition(s) or at nutrition risk.

This position also works in the communities of Sunchild and O'Chiese, about 4 days per month, to provide in person prenatal care and chronic disease management support.

As well, this position participates in the delivery of virtual group nutrition education across the zone.


Description:


As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes.

You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans.

You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings.

Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).


Additional Required Qualifications:


The Incumbent must be a member in good standing, or eligible for membership, with the College of Dietitians of Alberta.


Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year experience in an outpatient setting. Experience working with Indigenous Communities is preferred.
