Are you passionate about cars? Do you know what it takes to keep a car in top notch condition? If the answer is yes, we may have the perfect job for youOur Nepean, ON location is currently recruiting for an Auto Parts Transport Clerk.
Auto Parts Transport Clerks utilize Company automobiles, vans and light trucks to transport automotive parts and accessories through our network.
As Auto Parts Transport Clerks navigate the same roads as our existing and potential customers, they are expected to represent the Company with exceptional customer service at all times.
As a member of our team the Auto Parts Transport Clerk will perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles, provide courteous and professional service, maintain a clean driving record at all times, and will also:- Deliver automotive accessories and parts on our established routes efficiently and safely
- Report vehicle concerns to the Dispatcher and/or Store Manager
- Update the Dispatcher and/or Store Manager of any difficulties in delivery or other workrelated matters
- Collect payments (when necessary)
- Other duties as required
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver
- Valid Class G driver's permit
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Familiarity with the Ottawa east and west area (streets, landmarks, etc.)
- Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
- Comfortable with lifting (up to 50lbs)
- Ability to read and process invoices/packing slips
- Experience working in a teambased environment
- Previous warehouse experience in shipping and receiving
- Superior timemanagement skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of automotive and/or truck parts and accessories (an asset)
- Knowledge of tools and equipment (an asset)
