As a key member of our Business Development (BD) team, the BD & Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the identification and successful penetration of new customer accounts, with a focus on increasing revenue, expanding our client base, and enhancing our brand awareness.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be an effective communicator, be highly motivated, and possess a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.

The responsibilities of the BD & Marketing Coordinator will include and not be limited to:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive BD and marketing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify target clients and key decision makers, qualify and track leads, solicit bidding opportunities, and monitor bid sites.
  • Conduct market research on target industries, clients, competitors, and industry events.
  • Maintain the CRM database to ensure it is current and accurate and facilitate ongoing communications with existing and prospective clients.
  • Coordinate lead generation activities, including digital campaigns, client outreach, and conferences to acquire new potential clients.
  • Lead and manage updates to the website, grow our social media presence, develop content, and maintain accurate and uptodate information/analytics to track performance.
  • Maintain a database of relevant conferences and events, as well as planning and organizing for such events.
  • Manage the inventory of promotional items and coordinate with vendors.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • 25 years' experience in a similar role within the professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with the Engineering, Architecture, and Construction industry is an asset.
  • Proven results implementing sales enablement and marketing automation tools.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Experience in website development and maintenance is an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required. Bilingual in French is an asset, although not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate effectively with other departments, and prioritize competing demands.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism and ensures that sensitive information is kept confidential.
