**Job Title and Summary: General Manager

  • Whistler**The Whistler General Manager will be responsible for motivating and leading the RMU Whistler team to work together to accomplish overall sales goals while keeping RMU's culture and core values central to everything we do. This position will serve as the point of contact for purchasing decisions, sales, process development, budgeting, and customer service for RMU Whistler. It is essential that this person uphold the culture and priorities of RMU at all times. This position requires a dynamic individual who can handle and enjoys overseeing multiple tasks at once.
A minimum of three years hospitality managment experiance required


Key Responsibilities:


  • System integrations and development
  • This is to include the development ofculture, training, relationship building, system integrations, POS systems, and new positions as you see fit.


  • Inventory management

  • You will be responsible for working with department managers and ensuring inventory is accounted for and purchasing is within allocated budgets for the kitchen, bar, coffee and retail components of RMU Whistler.


  • Scheduling and Staffing

  • It will be your responsibility to ensure scheduling is complete and all shifts are covered as necessary while maintaining accepted labor margin. Hiring staff as needed.


  • Leadership

  • As many times new projects take a certain motivation and drive to complete on time your leadership skills are paramount to implementing any new process. You will have 15+ employees serving under your position as well as department managers.


  • Problem Solving

  • This position will require you to solve your own problems and be creative in their solutions.
  • The appearance of the location, both front and back of house is one of the most important responsibilities you will have. It must be kept clean, free of clutter and organized at all times. The lighting, music and ambiance needs to be carefully considered at all times.


  • Networking

  • People have always been RMU's biggest asset. This role needs to continue to foster organic relationships and friendships that when needed can be utilized to further the development of the RMU brand.


  • Budgeting

  • RMU Whistler will have a yearly budget of roughly million. Your ability to monitor cost of goods sold, expenses and sales is a daily function of this position.
  • Make sure all checklists are completed daily and all SOPs are followed.


  • Event activation

  • Events are a large part of RMU's culture, especially our work with nonprofits. Driving events and making sure events are properly planned and executed is important to RMU's overall success.
  • Knowledge 80% of the product RMU provides at its flagship locations is Food and Beverage related, but the core and culture of our company come from our outdoor product offerings. In depth knowledge of RMU products and the outdoor industry as a whole is key to the success of RMU concept locations.

Ski a minimum of 50 days per year. Culture is what we sell the and the General Manager must engage in the mountain lifestyle at least 50 days per year. This can be skiing, hiking, biking
  • We must all know the products we sell.
  • Become a brand guardian for instilling culture into all around RMU.
  • Professional demeanor at
    all times when representing RMU, partners, competitors, and public must always be treated with respect.

Salary:
$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
