THE POSITION
Ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently, the
_Production Controller_ is highly organized, detail oriented, and responsible.
You will liaison with multiple departments to execute the manufacturing plan in a timely, safe, and effective manner with quality top of mind.
You enjoy solving problems and working in a fast-paced environment where your contributions will make an impact on the safety of many lives with our patented illuminated school bus safety equipment.
HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING AN IMPACT
- Manage and report on daily production operations, including scheduling, planning, and organizing.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure that orders are executed on time and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot issues and adjust manufacturing plan, as needed.
- Ensure that regulations and quality standards are met.
- Assist with training and supervising production team members.
- Work with Materials Planner to monitor inventory levels and action, as required.
- Track and report production metrics and performance.
- Take ownership of inventory control and management.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in electronics manufacturing).
- 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production processes and operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience working with Netsuite ERP, an asset.
- Familiarity with ESD Handling is preferred.
- Strong organization skills.
- Experience with inventory control.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
