    Our valued client, a large Oil & Gas company are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Calgary team on a long-term contract basis.


    Responsibilities:

    • Promote, support, and adhere to the client's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system.
    • Ensure HSE issues are given priority consideration by complying with all corporate and operating procedures to align with corporate safety standards and expectations.
    • Work with other functions to scope and develop problems/opportunities into minor modifications projects.
    • Work with the Planner/Scheduler Minor Modifications to schedule active MMP projects and incorporate in the integrated plan.
    • Manage projects by utilizing the client's Minor Modifications Project (MMP) process from project initiation to close-out including scope management, schedule, and budget.
    • Work with internal engineering teams or external contractors as needed to define and produce engineering deliverables required for minor modifications projects.
    • Coordinate multidiscipline teams, engineering and construction activities related to engineering activities and changes.
    • Building Team Culture – Leverage team knowledge and promote knowledge sharing and development within the team.
    • Prioritizing and Allocating Work – Understand relative work priorities, delegate work as appropriate, manage competing demands for resources when considering a portfolio of multiple projects.
    • Experience producing and reviewing engineering deliverables such as PFD's, P&ID's, Line Designation Tables, etc.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Recognized degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
    • EGBC Professional Registrant
    • APEGA Registered Professional Engineer
    • 10+ years' experience preferably in Conventional Oil & Gas, SAGD and Heavy Oil.
    • Experience and ability to work within a team-oriented and diverse cultural environment.
    • Strong written and oral communications skills.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills, and good written communication skills.
    • Emphasis on understanding technical details of problems and independently researching and engaging the right focus area experts to develop the best solution.
    • Manages and engages stakeholders. Must have strong team skills to build consensus across organizational lines.
    • Accepts ownership, is accountable and delivers on commitments.
