Position Purpose


As a key member of the Development and Communication Department, the Resource Development Coordinator maintains and enhances relationships with members and donors and creates and follows a Resource Development Plan.

Secondarily they support the smooth operation of the department by following the Communications Plan and Data Collection Plan to ensure accurate and helpful flow of information within and outside the society.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with the planning and implementation of activities and special events which support the resource development of ICCS. This includes annual fundraising events and campaigns, donor and volunteer recognition events, special campaigns and more.
  • Oversees the daytoday resource development tasks by ensuring that ICCS guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards and licensing requirements are met. This includes appropriate donor stewardship and creating and distributing tax receipts according to CRA guidelines.
  • Recruits, selects, dismisses, orients, trains, monitors, and provides support to resource development volunteers.
  • Makes recommendation to the supervisor regarding program development, resource development and fundraising planning, policy and procedure formulation and program evaluation.
  • Promotes public awareness of and support for the work of ICCS by performing duties such as producing promotional materials and attending community events.
  • Liaises with community service providers, businesses, and other professionals to represent ICCS in external events.
  • Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains financial records in accordance to established procedures. Provides input to the supervisor in the preparation of the program budget.
  • Maintains accurate and complete donor records and statistics and produces reports as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

EducationDiploma in administration, marketing, communications, fundraising or a related field.


Training and ExperienceTwo (2) years recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience


Required Licenses/Certificates:


  • Class 5 Driver's License & Business Class Insurance (minimum $2M liability)
  • Successful Criminal Record Review for Vulnerable people
