Position Overview:

Job Duties:

Safely and efficiently lead multiple crews and equipment in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
Responsible for all safety metrics within the district.
Crew lead's are trained on all aspects of the job.
Assist in recruitment of team members
Provide mentorship and training and oversee development
Take the lead in planning, sequencing, and execution of assigned work for crews.
Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Provide support and expertise and leadership on more specialized jobs.
Support other regions where required.
Operate up to 8ton crane.
Oversee the preventative maintenance of all equipment within a specific location.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
35 years' experience as Arborist
5+ years as a supervisor/lead.
Valid provincial driver's license. Licensed to drive a 5ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
Certificate in crane operation, up to 8 ton required.
Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
ISA Certification a must
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
Pesticide and herbicide license preferred

Additional Information:

Full time. Yearround employment.
Occasional overtime required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
