Housekeeping Supervisor
The Housekeeping Supervisor position requires an experienced leader that is organized, hospitable, friendly, and outgoing with a focus on guest service.
The Housekeeping Supervisor provides help and coordinates the cleaning services in the guest rooms daily; providing the best possible product to contribute to the guest experience.
Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develops a strong team of colleagues through effective leadership
- Proactively addressing any daytoday operational concerns and determining appropriate solutions
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program.
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs.
- Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Daily cleaning service of the guest rooms for arrivals and stayovers.
- Ensure that any lost and found items are handled according to our Lost and Found Policy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Housekeeping storage areas on the guest floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of the corridors on the guest floors.
Core Competencies, Characteristics and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of previous hotel housekeeping experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team, and communication skills are essential.
- WHIMIS training an asset.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office.
- Previous experience using a Hotel reservation/booking system.
- Ability to take ownership of duties and show initiative.
- All other duties as assigned that will assist and support the mandate of the Hotel and its ongoing success.
Physical Aspects of Position:
- Continuous walking, bending and lifting up to 50lbs
- Use of cleaning machines and solutions will be required
