Warehouse Supervisor


Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operations of inventory flow including ordering, managing inventory levels and managing shipping and receiving.

Hours:

  • 5 days a week, 8:00-4:30pm

Responsibilities:


  • Help manage and support a team of 10 staff
  • Oversee and participate in the loading and unloading of incoming shipments
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies for incoming shipments
  • Ability to lead a team to complete special projects
  • Must be able to operate a Raymond Reach with license
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
  • Provides training to all employees on warehousing, shipping and receiving policy and procedures.
  • Ensures Quality Assurance processes/policies are maintained as they relate to functional processes within the scope of receiving, inbound inspection material storage and disposition.
  • Oversea and participate in the Picking / Packing / Replenishment
  • Participates in cyclecounting program to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
  • Inspect for quality, quantity and accuracy
  • Working in a safe manner obeying all plant safety rules
  • Ensures that health and safety programs are supported and enforced
  • Basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Performing other duties as required

Requirements:


  • 5 years of Supervisor / Lead Hand experience.
  • 7 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing and inventory control in a distribution environment
- experience in LCL, FCL, domestic and international parcel shipping preferred

  • Must have valid forklift license and 5+ years experience
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of warehouse operations including understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and find solutions
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must have good organization skills
