Position Summary:

John Bear Buick GMC Chevrolet is seeking a
Service Cashier for our New Hamburg dealership.

The Service Cashier is primarily responsible for receiving payment for service and parts transactions, recording the amount received and accurately posting for it and accounting for it.


Responsibilities:


  • Address all customer questions and needs and direct them to appropriate person in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Highlight CSI when cashing out customers using the provided CSI script
  • Answer all phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Handle customer complaints and if they can't be resolved get the advisor or manager involved.
  • Understand cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure all cash, cheques and charges are accounted for.
  • Work with car porters to make sure cars are checked in and cleaned/sanitized efficiently.
  • Claim all Sublets eg, Enterprise, Symtech, ARI.
  • Follow up Service receivables with Account Managers.
  • Assist with booking appointments when necessary.
  • Organize rental cars and Ubers and ensure we get invoices and attach all invoices to paperwork.
  • Take a proactive approach working on open RO list and correct and close work orders to keep the list current.
  • Close out all warranty RO's in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for creating first impressions and guiding the customer through a smooth transition.
  • Ensure receipts and claims are done properly to help a smooth flow from the Service Department to the accounting office.
  • Ensure all licensing is done for all new and used car deliveries (periodic duty).

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College certificate or additional courses would be an asset
  • A fundamental understanding of automotive mechanical fundamentals
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Experience in a dealership environment in an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Proficient in basic computer software
  • Ability to prioritize and redefine priorities as necessary
  • Ability to handle stress in a businesslike manner

Pay:
$17.00 per hour
