McMillan has an exciting opportunity as an
Accounts Payable Administrator in our
Finance group.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will play a key role in administering our Accounts Payable functions.
What You'll Do
As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of expense claims, vendor invoices, credit cards and client disbursements, by reviewing taxes, coding, proper supporting documents and ensuring proper authorization and in line with Firm Policies
- Uploading and processing BCSC, SEDAR and Courier files and reconciling to Bank Statements and Invoices
- Reviewing and completing daily rush payments and weekly pay runs including payment by cheque, EFT, ACH, bill payments and wire transfers
- Processing payments through online Banking Platform
- Reviewing and managing AP inbox to ensure all queries are addressed in a timely manner
- Running expense management system (Intapp Flow) reports and followingup with Firm members to ensure all requests are being processed and approved in a timely manner
- Reviewing the AP Subledger and investigating old AP items and credit notes
- Reconciling monthly vendor statements and followup with internal service departments and vendors on outstanding invoices
- Investigating and addressing outstanding cheques
- Interfacing with peers and management team, responding to questions and concerns
- Setting up new vendors and maintaining existing vendors in Accounting System
- Compiling backup for Auditors or Firm Members as requested
- Assisting in Systems Testing for Accounts Payable functions
- Assisting in Accounts Payable process improvement projects
- Providing backup to the Team Lead, Accounts Payable and AP Administrators
- Other responsibilities as required
What You Bring
You have established yourself as a key resource in your successful finance career.
Your history includes completing an Accounting program either at a University or College and Accounts payable related work experience is considered an asset but not required.
You have strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills.You are detail-oriented and are able to effectively meet deadlines, work well in a team setting, and provide an exceptional level of client service, including ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
You embrace evolving technology and have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Finally you thrive in a fast-paced environment working with a high volume of tasks.McMillan Offers You
