With continued growth of the company, we're excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Civil Superintendent to step in and lead some exciting new projects.

The Superintendent will be required to manage a crew and coordinate with other trades.

They will be required to execute jobs from start to finish in an efficient manner based off engineered drawings and specs.

This person is required to enforce company policy and to lead by example.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the execution of civil projects from start to finish.
  • Provide daily progress reports to management.
  • In charge of all onsite activities.
  • Planning for material delivery and for future use.
  • Site safety and enforcement of Wildstone Construction safety policy.
  • Proper daily planning to prevent leaving the job site.
  • Ensure equipment is fuelled and ready to go before start of shift.
  • Enforce all policies.
  • Monitor crew and trades/subcontractors compliance with project safety program requirements.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • 8+ years experience working for a civil contracting company with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Tickets: Level 1 First Aid for Industry, Ground Disturbance for Supervisors, Confined Space for Supervisors, TDG, CSTS, WHMIS 2015. Leadership for Safety Excellence.
  • Very strong civil background and knowledge of excavation, backfill, sloping and subgrading.
  • Ability to schedule people and equipment requirements and build effective 6week look aheads.
  • Understand construction documents and ensure that they are complete, protect the owner's interest, clearly define expectations and provide incentive to perform.
  • Contract negotiation/management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
  • A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
  • Skilled at promoting teamwork to establish consensus among team.
