- Solicit new accounts and review past accounts to generate new and repeat business.
- Liaise with banquet team to ensure exceptional service while groups are in house.
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective
- Write banquet menus, memos, and send out amenities for VIP Guests.
- Ensure BEOs and group resumes are distributed to internal stakeholders a minimum of two weeks prior to the event.
- Review and revise weekly events sheets and banquet event orders.
- Formulate and revise annual and monthly forecasts. Accurately forecasts estimated revenue from each booking.
- Negotiate, prepare, and write contracts and enter information into the
- Interact with clients to determine needs and direct associates accordingly.
- Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries of potential guests.
- Drive special events, theme creation to generate revenue when banquet space is available.
- Meet client on site to kick-off all events, ensure event is smoothly handed over to banquets team once event begins.
- Servicing of all groups, to ensure optimal revenue generation, client and event satisfaction including, but not limited to menus, all event and catering details, rooming lists, transportation.
- Responsible for ensuring all group and catering details are correctly reflected in sales and catering system, including but not limited to group blocks, attrition, catering requirements.
- Ensure collection of deposits, billing and final invoice is completed.
- Ensure timely follow up on all past groups with focus on securing repeat booking.
- Respond to leads within company standard timeline.

- Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints.
- Ability to self-monitor all job-related duties while working off-site (remotely).
- Previous hotel sales manager experience (5 years preferred)
- Experience in CiTY Application Software (2 years preferred)
- Strong Technical skills related to detailing groups, meetings, and events.
- Ability to win others over through confidence, experience, and demeanor.
- Leads sales initiatives, catering, and events in the absence of the Director of Sales and Marketing
- Generates quality work and upholds high standards.
- Knowledge of Hotel Systems
