Job Description:
Reporting into the Regional Manager, the
Site Manager will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard.
What you're responsible for:
- Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
- Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Maintaining timekeeping and personnel records
- Sharing information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Preparing and submit performance reports
- Ensuring adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
- Undertaking disciplinary actions if the need arises
- Leading by example as a handson manager
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as supervisor will be considered an asset
- Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of different commercial trucks and forklifts
- Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
