Location: 655 Park Street, Kentville, NS

Job Position: Continuing Care Assistant

  • Salary: $21.47 to $23.27 per hour (Collective agreement)
  • Vacancy: 1
  • Terms of Employment: 0.5 permanent part-time (40 hours bi-weekly)
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Employment Conditions: Shift work

Job Requirements:

  • Languages: English
  • Education: College, CEGEP or equivalent
  • Experience: Asset
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding
  • Additional Skills: Various tasks related to patient care and facility maintenance
  • Specific Skills: Patient care tasks, emergency procedures
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
  • Credentials: Continuing Care Assistant Certification in Nova Scotia or eligible within 2 years
